Ten (10) ‘Days Research Methodology Course’ in Social Science Research
The Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Jaipur is an autonomous, multidisciplinary research institute supported by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi (Ministry of Education, Govt. of India) and Department of Planning, Government of Rajasthan. IDS has been undertaking research studies, conducting Research Methodology Course, and Training programme since its inception.

About the Programme
The Institute of Development Studies, Jaipur with the support of Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi, is organizing an online Ten (10) ‘Days Research Methodology Course’ for M.Phil/Ph.D/PDF scholars in social sciences between 1st April to 15th April, 2021. The broad objective of this course is to offer a firsthand training to interested social science researchers on the area of quantitative, qualitative and publication related issues during the course period. The proposed programme will cover (i) Emerging issues in social science research, (ii) quantitative and qualitative data analysis, (iii) introduction to utility software’s like SPSS and STATA with its’ applications, (iv) basic statistics and econometrics using the utility software, and (v) plagiarism and how to choose a best journal for publication.

Selection Criteria: (i) Pursuing M.Phil or Ph. D or Post-Doctoral research in social sciences at university, colleges or research institute in India. There are limited seats available for the programme, thus scholars are requested to register themselves as soon as possible.

Certificate
Institute of Development Studies, Jaipur will provide e-certificate to participants after successful completion of the course. The conditions of successful completion are, (i) more than 90% attendance, (ii) successful submission of two feedback forms ((a) for the resource persons, and (b) about the programme), at the end of the course, (iii) submission of one assignment.

Participants are requested to get themselves registered in the link Ten Day Research Methodology Course (1st April to 15th April, 2021) – Google Forms. The last date of submission of application for the course is 25th March, 2021. Participants are requested to send one page note on the area of their research and proof of their studentship in the following emails.
